Nurses

Fifteen years ago I visited the Republic of Kazakhstan on two occasions to photograph people afflicted with tuberculosis. At the time I thought that tuberculosis was an old fashioned illness and no longer a threat. Nothing could have been further from the truth. These days it is under control thanks to the many nurses who would visit their patients on a daily basis administering the correct dosage of medicine. Nurses are my heroes.
