Client portraits for Everaert Immigration Lawyers

In 1989, as a young photographer, I received a temporary residence permit in the Netherlands with help from Everaert Immigration Lawyers. A few years later, I received permanent residency, and the Amsterdam law firm became one of my first clients.

My first assignment was to portray two of their clients, a Korean restaurant owner and an Australian artist. The firm used the images on their New Year’s card, and the models received a print. Everaert received tremendous positive feedback from other firms, which led to an ongoing assignment.

The project aimed to show the full range of immigrants, those working temporarily in the Netherlands and permanent residents. Later, they ordered a selection of the portraits enlarged as 70×70 cm prints. To this day, they decorate the walls of their Amsterdam office and the pages of their website.

I still work for them, delivering business portraits of their partners, employees, and clients.
